Where to stay in Turkey
Being a popular destination Turkey has many excellent hotels. Good cheap hotels in Turkey include the beachfront city centre hotel in Bodrum, Hotel Flora, with rooms from as little as £29. Near Bodrum in Altinkum, close to the local resort, is the 4-star Club Aegean hotel with rooms for as little as £22 a night. In Istanbul the 4-star Madison Hotel, situated near Beylerbeyi Palace, Taksim Square, and the Suleymaniye Mosque, is a a great deal woth rooms from £48. Other excellent low cost hotels are the traditional Turkish mansion, Angel's Home Hotel, located near the Blue Mosque and St Sophia, and the former Ottoman mansion, Deniz Konak Hotel.

Cheap accommodation is also available for backpackers and budget holidaymakers. There are many excellent hostels in Instanbul including the Antique Hostel and Bahaus Guesthouse, with dorm beds from around £9 and privae rooms from £14. In Bodrum there are few hostels. Two are Sevin Pansiyon and Hotel Kalender, with accommodation available from £5 and £6 for dorms and private rooms.

Castle of St. Peter: imposing 15th century castle built by the Knights of St. John.
Bodrum Amphitheater: Hellenistic structure built on a hillside overlooking the city and once used to stage for theatrical productions.
