a majestic cathedral built in the 11th century to rival Constantinople's

Flying to Kiev
Direct flights to Kiev are available from Gatwick with Ukraine International Airlines. Prices for return tickets start at around £211. Similarly Lufthansa fly direct from London City Airport to Kiev for around £255 return. It is also possible to fly from Gatwick via Budapest or Prague with Malev Hungarian Airlines and Czech Airlines repsectivley. Further, Lufthansa operate direct flights from Manchester Airport, for upwards of £270 for a return journey.




Accommodation in Kiev
Kiev accommodation is available to suit all tastes and budgets. At the top end ther is luxury hotels and apartments such as the 5-star Opera Hotel and Premier Palace Hotel each costing in excess of $300 a night. More reasonable hotels are the Hotel Slavutich and Kozatsky Hotel costing $84 and $76 a night respectively.

Budget travellers will find a wide selection of hostels on the city. Shared rooms in centrally located sites can cost less than $30. Examples include the International Youth Hostel Kiev, costing $27 and Perova Apartment which costs $24 a night.
