Rome has two airports, Rome Ciampino Airport and Rome Fiumicino Airport, both served by bus, rail and road links. Where to stay in Rome
There is some excellent accommodation in Rome. Superb Roman hotels include the Hotel Patria and Champagne Palace Hotel, both centrally located with rooms from £54 and £110 respectively. More expensive options include The Westin Excelsior (£246) and Grand Hotel De La Minerve Rome (£221).

Rome has a selection of hotstel and cheap hotels for visitors looking for something a little cheaper. Shared and privae rooms can be found, costing as little as £7, more typically £15 - £20. A favourite is the Stargate Hostel which offers dorm beds and private rooms for £15 and £20 respectively. Other great hostel/hotels include the Village Roma and the resort style Tiber Village Hostel.

Things to do and places to go in Rome
Rome is rich in wondersful sites. As well as the Coliseum and Vatican visitor can appreciate the Basilica di San Clemente which dates back to the earliest Christian times. They can also visit the Roman Forum, ancient Rome's political, commercial and religious centre, which includes the Arch of Septimus Severus, Arch of Titus, Temple of Saturn and the House of the Vestals

The nightlife in Rome is a bit tame. However there are a few good venues. The Vineria, in the centre of Campo de Fiori, is a good bar where many start the evening. Ex-pats and tourist are often found at the Drunken Ship. Freni & Frizioni is recommended for an after-dinner drink. For clubbers, if you want to see the rich and famous, you should visit Gilda, near Piazza di Spagna. For somewhere brash and bold, there is Alien. Or thers is Goa, where you can find some of Europe's best DJ's.
