Budget travellers have many venues to choose from. Clean friendly hostels and cheap rooms are available for those with a more modest budget. Options include Athens Backpackers at 25 Euros a night and Hostel Zeus with beds from 12 Euros.

Things to do and places to go in Athens
Athens is rich in culture. There is also plenty for holidaymakers looking for fun.
National Archaeological Museum: An extensive collection of ancient greek statues and artifacts including the Mask of Agamemnon.
Plaka: Quaint and pleasant neighbourhood full of unspoilt old buildings near the Acropolis. Full of fine restaurants and good shopping.
Mount Lycabettus: The mountain in the centre of Athens. An amazing view, a great cafe and an ampitheatre where you can watch concerts.
Hadrian's Arch: Built in 131 AD for the Emperor Hadrian, this arch was built to separate old Athens from the newer, Roman-built section of the city.
