Where to stay in Tbilisi
Tbilisi is not renowned for great accommodation. However there are some superb hotels to appreciate. These include the Tbilisi Marriott Hotel, Ambasadori Hotel and the Hotel Iliani, all providing excellent 4 and 5 star service.

There is also plenty of less expensive and budget accommodation in Tbilisi. The Kolkhi Hotel, in the prestigious Vera district, offers rooms from £22 a night including breakfast, cable TV and room service. In the same area there is the Varazi Hotel, offering similar facilities at £35 a night.

Things to do and places to go in and around Tbilisi
Just north of Tbilisi is the city of Gori, birthplace of Josef Stalin. The residents of Gori still remember and admire Stalin, and tourists can visit the Stalin Museum where they can find out more about the famous Soviet dictator. Visitors can also takea trip to the Cave City of Uplistsikhe.

In the evening there are a few bars and clubs worth visiting. Dublin Pub, with food and music, is popular. Fashion bar (bar and club) is another favourite as is Noa Noa.
