Flights to Brazils's Brasilia, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo airports are available from London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow airports. Airlines serving Brazil include Air France, Iberia, American Airlines and KLM. Prices for a retrun ticket are currently £550 to £650.


Where to stay in Brazil
Brazil has some top quality hotels. In Sao Paulo you will find many 3-4-star hotels, like the Maksoud Plaza Hotel and Grand Hyatt Sao Paulo. Prices are £50-£200 a night. Similar hotels can be found in Rio de Janeiro such as the Sheraton Rio Hotel and Excelsior Copacabana Hotel.

Brazil has a few backpackers and budget holidaymakers and therefore not too may low cost venues. However we can suggest a few we were able to find, most of which cost less than £10 per person per night. In Sao Paulo the Ace Bed and Breakfast and Sao Paulo Hostel Downtown provide good, low cost accommodation. In Rio, there is the Vila Carioca Hostel and Che Lagarto Hostel - Copacabana, both of which are situated near the beach and reknowned for excellent parties!

Rio de Janeiro Carnival: Carnivals are popular throughout brazil. Famous in Rio, but also in Salvador and Olinda.
Amazon: Trek the world's largest rain forest and see the the River Amazon.
Brazils's Beaches: Soak up the sun, play beach volleyball and meet the local sun-bronzed beauties. Includes Rio's Copacabana and Ipanema beaches.
Samba Dancing: Improve your moves - take some samba lessons at the local samba school.
Iguazu Waterfalls: Outstanding falls - easily one of the most amazing sites in the Americas.
