Where to stay in Peru
Peru has many top hotels. In Lima you will find five star accommodation like the Sheraton Hotel.
Similarly, in Lima and other cities, there is good three and four star accommodation such as the
La Castellana and Casa Andina.
Peru is popular with backpackers touring South America. For this reason it not too
difficult to find good cheap accommodation such as The Inka Lodge in Lima
which has shared (£7) and private rooms (£10.50). Outside of
Lima, accommodation
is less prevalent, but of equally high quality.
Things to do and places to go in Peru
Lake Titikaka: On the border with Bolivia, highest commercially navigable lake in the world
has an enchanting iridescent blue colour which stands in stark contrast to the surrounding hills of the altiplano.
The Inca Trail and Machu Picchu: trek an old Inca road through the Peruvian mountains to the Inca city of Machu Picchu.
Peru's Beaches:Some parts are tranquil and ideal for those looking to relax, while others have crashing breakers in suitable for surfers. All beaches can be
reached from the Pan-American Highway.
Rafting: Ride the rapids of the coastal rivers of Peru, or through the Peruvian jungle or highlands.
